The Bookmark offers a large selection of lectures to download because they are a perfect introduction to Christian Science. They were originally written for those new to Christian Science. They explain how this Science enables you to exchange faith in God for an understanding of Him. You learn of your relationship to Him and why prayer can transform consciousness and heal. The Christian Science Board of Lectureship was first established by Mary Baker Eddy. Church members appointed to lecture, traveled throughout the world lecturing to audiences as many as 10,000 people. An auditorium was often filled an hour before the lecture, and people were turned away. It was not unusual for those in the audience to experience healing during a lecture. Most lectures include accounts of extraordinary healings and tell of the prayerful work that brought about the healing. The lectures in this list have been selected for downloading because they are as fresh and inspiring today as when they were first delivered in crowded halls throughout the world.
