Mrs. Cook, whose full name was Louise Knight Wheatly Cook Hovnanian, became a member of The Mother Church in 1906. Her Primary Class teacher was Adam Dickey. She attended his class of 1913. In 1916 she was selected for the Normal Class taught by Clifford P. Smith, and was made a teacher. From 1917 through 1958 she held her class and association in Kansas City, Missouri. She was appointed to the Board of Lectureship of The Mother Church in 1935 and lectured in North America and Europe. After she began her study of Christian Science, her early interest in writing was focused on writing for the periodicals, and she wrote at approximately 100 articles and poems on Christian Science from 1907 to 1958. Several of these were reprinted in pamphlet form.
