Our thinking determines our being. Whatever may seem to be wrong in the body or in the world can only be changed by right thinking. However it may seem that things are outside of ourselves, they are nevertheless included in our consciousness and it is here that the change must take place. Everything is subjective.

Believe!
Jesus said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you; For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Matt. 7:7,8). Do you believe this promise? Jesus also said, “What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” (Mark 11:24). Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health “The Hebrew verb to believe means also to be firm or to be constant. This certainly applies to Truth and Love understood and practiced” (Science and Health 23:32-2).

Divine Facts from God.
It is not only necessary to state divine facts, but one must truly believe them and adhere to them. We must admit that divine facts come from God and being from God they are effective in practice.

In the measure that these facts are admitted, apprehended, and accepted, they manifest God or good to man. To the extent that they are understood, they must inevitably heal disease, save from sin, redeem from vice and all evil habits. In this way, the human being appears more like the divine likeness. To attain a semblance of divinity, one must gain a better understanding of God, for only in this way do we learn to understand ourselves and our fellowman as we really are.
